In VIII, the conquerer's axe is a weapon for Yangus with an attack bonus of +103 and is found hidden away in the lower section of the isolated hilltop near Rydon's Tower.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies
In IX the conquerer's axe was localized as the Executioner's axe for unknown reasons. It is the upgraded form of the Headsman's axe and requires said hatchet to be mixed with two ethereal stones and a raging ruby. Base attack power has been raised to 115.
