The Frightcrawler (formerly VenomWorm) is a monster introduced in Dragon Quest VII. It can be found in Grotta del Sigillo in the past and present and in the Greenthumb Gardens region in the past.
Characteristics
Frightcrawlers are the poisonous relatives of nightcrawlers, having gruesome green bodies, poking pink mandibles, and a purple poison spewing head, covered in pointed purple spikes designed to scare away any potential attackers. They attack in a similar way to their brethren, by rolling up their bold bodies and leaping at enemies. Frightcrawlers poison their enemies, both with the toxic spikes on their body or by exhaling a putrid poisonous breath. This makes them a well known nuisance to adventurers, even if they aren't otherwise particularly powerful.
