Assassin is a skillset introduced in Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker.

Assassin is learned by the Grim rider, Killing machine, and Metal dragon. It grants the following abilities:

The Assassin talent is naturally learned by Avian android, Bodkin archer, and Well wisher.

Heart Breaker Inflicts slashing damage on a single enemy and stuns it for 1 turn. 3
Sandstorm Whips up a dense cloud of dust that lowers the accuracy of enemy attacks for 2 to 5 turns. 10
Mercurial Thrust A punching technique that only inflicts a small amount of damage, but allows the user to attack before anyone else. 20
Seethe Internalises rage in order to raise the damage of the next attack. Furthermore, the user's attacks become more difficult for the enemy to dodge. 30
Sleep Attack Damages a single enemy and occasionally puts it to sleep for 2 to 5 turns. 50
Hatchet Man Inflicts slashing damage on a single enemy. The attack has a high likelihood of missing, but an increased chance of inflicting a critical hit when it succeeds. 70
Whack Kills a single enemy instantly. The higher the caster's wisdom, the more likely the spell is to succeed. 85
Assassin's Stab Damages a single enemy and occasionally causes instant death. 100
