Weird Dance is learned by advancing to either rank 3 of the DancerVocation or rank 4 of the Merchant vocation. In this installment the skill received the same upgrade as Drain Magic, meaning that magic absorbed is the user's level/4 +5.
It is used by the monsters Sluggernaut, Mud mannequin, Magic marionette, Mad mallard, and Crayzee.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past
Weird Dance is learned at Rank 3 of the Dancer vocation in the PS1 and 3DS versions of the game. In the original it uses the level-based calculations as in VI, but in the remake it merely drains 5~12 MP regardless of level.
It can be used by the monsters Mimic, Mud mannequin, Bag o' laughs, Prancing pillar, Cavorting column, Elepus, and Scarfish.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies
