The Hades' helm is a recurring helmet in the Dragon Quest series. It is a purple helmet with yellow horn-like protrusions and a fur collar and is typically a cursed piece of equipment, though as of the eleventh game it has begun to protect its wearer against being cursed instead.

Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride[edit]
The Hades' helm has a defence bonus of +30, and one is found in a chest in the Estuary Sanctuary. It can only be worn by certain monster companions, but not its namesake monster despite the beast dropping this item upon being defeated.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit]

The Hades' helm has a defence bonus of +33 but it is cursed. It is found in the Pirate's Cove and can be sold for 4,250 gold. It can be used to either make a Mythril helm or a King cobra claw.
