The Hooperman is a monster that appears exclusively in Dragon Quest XI. It is a hula hoop-spinning demon that can brew up powerful storms.
Characteristics[edit]
Hoopermen are rotund demons with dark brown skin and round bellies that constantly spin spiked rings made of dark red metal around with their bodies. The lower halves of their bodies have digitigrade legs like that of a satyr or faun and are covered in yellow fur. They have tiny pink eyes with black irises, a pair of curved yellow horns on their heads, and their mouths are filled with long sharp fangs. The demons wear pink and blue collars with purple triangular designs around their necks, a ragged pink cloth around their waists, and striped sashes in many different colours. They also have bands made of the same red metal as their hoops on their arms.
The hoopermen are capable of mesmerising entire groups of onlookers with their sensational dance moves, then slice them apart with the whirlwinds generated from their metal hoops. Like their fellow hula hoopers, they have powerful explosive magic at their disposal, as well. Hoopermen are highly sought after since they carry rare and valuable materials used in the Fun-Size Forge.
