The Sword of Champions, is a relatively important blade, first appearing in Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai and its various adaptations.

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai[edit]
A weapon made of Orichalcum, the strongest rare material made by the gods and only given by them to Humans in small amounts, the Sword of Champions, alongside the equally made of orichalcum Crown of Champions, where safekeeped by the Kingdom of Romos.
Searched by the Disciples of Avan as a viable weapon for Dai to unleash his full power without breaking the blade, he and Popp would travel back to Romos once they had heard that the Sword of Champions was being offered as a price for winning a Martial Arts Tournament, where they met again with Maam. When the Tournament turned out to be sham, orchestrated by Zamza in order to kidnap potential test-subjects for his research, Dai used what he tought to be the legitimate Sword of Champions to deliver the final blow to him.
However, it would turn out that the original blade had been stolen under the King's nose by Zamza while disguided, who he then delivered it to the Dark Army, leaving the Disciples back to square one in their search for a weapon for Dai. As a solution, Dai would later smelt the Crown of Champions, and re-forge it thanks to Lon Beruk into the mighty Sword of Dai.
Meanwhile, the stolen Sword of Champions was grafted into Hadlar's new body after he was converted into a Superior Being. He then used the sword to great effect in all of his subsequent clashes with Dai and his friends, even managing to crack the newly forged Sword of Dai, until the blade was finally shattered during Hadlar's last battle against the young Dragon Knight, when Dai used his Sword of Dai in combination with his newly developed variations of the Avan Strash.
Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai: A Hero's Bonds[edit]
The Sword of Champions returns in its Orichalcum arm-blade form as a limited gacha weapon in the game. It is a 4-Star, Fire-Type claw with 143 Attack and gives its user access to Ultra Combustion Slash.
Dragon Quest Tact[edit]
The Sword of Champions is an S-rank sword that can be acquired as part of the limited Second Adventure of Dai event by purchasing it in the Equipment Swap Shop by exchanging tickets. It has an HP bonus of +45, an Attack bonus of +14, raises the Sizz-type potency of ??? family units by 5% and has three slots for Alchemy Effects.
