The first battle against Rashers and Stripes in the Western Cave is completely unwinnable in both versions of the game, due to a combination of having an exceedingly high amount of HP and simply recovering too much HP each turn for the party to make any dent. In the original Sony PlayStation version, it is theoretically possible to beat the two if the party's levels are raised to an absurdly high level, but it makes no impact on the story as the game continues as if the party has been defeated in any case. Rashers and Stripes have an infinite amount of HP in the Nintendo 3DS version, so it is impossible to try defeating them. | |||
