The Statue of the Hero is a mini-boss that appears in Dragon Quest VIII. It is one of the traps found in the magical maze at the center of the Black Citadel, and attacks the party along with marble mockeries of the rest of the party.

Characteristics

The Statue is an awful alabaster affront to the Hero, assaulting the party with bolts of electricity. Unlike most stone-based material monsters it resists explosive spells, and copies the hero's resistance to Zap. Like the Statue of Angelo, it is vulnerable to fire and can be fractured with Flame Slash.
