A Living statue can be fought in Uptaten Towers in Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride.
Detal
One of the valiant warrior statues in Uptaten Towers has an odd glimmer; if examined it begins watching the Hero and Bianca Whitaker. Talking to it reveals it's actually alive and a battle starts, where it reveals its true form.
Unlike in other installments, this Living statue is a silver palette swap of the Terracotta warrior. In the PS2 version, the Living statue has been redesigned, looking nothing like a Terracotta warrior.
