The King axe is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest franchise.
Appearances
Dragon Quest VIII
The king axe has an attack bonus of +80. It can be bought for 17,000 gold in Orkutsk and Tryan Gully and sold for 8,500 gold. Only Yangus can equip it. Its alchemy recipe is Golden axe + Slime crown.
Dragon Quest IX
The King axe can be bought for 16,000 gold in Upover and sold for 8,000 gold. It has an attack bonus of +78 and a two star rarity. Rangers and Gladiators can equip it. It can also be created using the alchemy recipe of Golden axe x 1 + Slime crown x 1.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker
The King axe can be bought for 27,500 gold on Domus Island and sold for 13,750 gold. It has an attack bonus of +81. Its in game description is "In a word: Axellent."
