The Ice queen is a monster that was introduced in Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King.
Characteristics
Unlike her contemporary temptresses, the ice queen is less concerned about flaunting her stuff and more in freezing hapless adventurers into perfectly preserved trophies. Unbecoming of a supposed witch, she has no magical aptitude whatsoever but can bolster her frigid breath with the use of Tension.

Trivia
- The ice queen's feminine appearance, ability to exhale freezing blizzards, and the location she haunts being a snowy wasteland is possibly an allusion to the Yuki-onna, a yōkai heavily associated with winter and snowstorms that takes the guise of a beautiful young woman.
