The staff of divine wrath is a recurring Wand in the Dragon Quest franchise. As its name implies, it a staff charged with holy energies meant for smiting wickedness with powerful winds. The staff of divine wrath is similar to the older weapon known as the staff of sentencing, with the former being seen by fans as the superior model of wand and the developers opting to make it the direct upgrade of the staff of sentencing in the games that feature alchemy.

Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen[edit]
The staff of divine wrath has an Attack bonus of +35 and casts Swoosh in battle. It can only be wielded by Kiryl and Meena. In the NES version it takes 1 mini medal to get one and you can get more depending on your medal supply. In the Nintendo DS version you can only get one and it takes 30 medals to acquire.
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride[edit]
The staff of divine wrath has an Attack bonus of +35 and casts Woosh in battle. It can be found in Gotha Pass and as a prize on lucky squares in Treasures n' Trapdoors boards. It can be equipped by Bianca, Nera, Madchen, the Chimaera, Conkerer, Conkuisitor, Dracky, Epipany, Fandangow, Fat rat, Funghoul, Ghost, Grudgerigar, Hulagan, Old man of the sea, Pocus poppet, Prestidigitator, Snowbird, Ticking timeburrm, and Wiz pip.
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation[edit]
The staff of divine wrath increases Attack by +35, Style by +20, and deals 15~36 wind damage to a group of enemies. It can be equipped by Milly and Nevan, and is the reward for turning in 15 mini medals.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit]
The staff of divine wrath has an Attack bonus of +35, a Style bonus of +20, and returns to casting Swoosh when used as an item in battle. It can be equipped by Maribel and Sir Mervyn. It is received as a prize from the Medal King for turning in 50 Mini medals. Staffs of divine wrath can also be obtained as prizes from the Lucky Panel at the Casino.
