Zumeanie

The Zumeanie is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest IX. It is an anthropomorphic yellow and orange zucchini that wields a spear in battle.

CharacteristicsEdit

Zumeanies and their cousins are animated squashes with deranged smiles on their faces and a chonmage-style topknot on top of their heads. The zumeanie is a variety of the Cruelcumber, its lower body being orange with green spots and its upper body being yellow. Starting with X, the orange and yellow start to blend into each other in the middle of their bodies as well as having black spots found all over the body. They are capable of confusing enemies with their spinning spear attacks. Due to their tropical habitats, the vegetables tend to be vulnerable to ice-elemental spells and abilities.
