The Crested loon is a recurrent monster in the Dragon Quest series and it was introduced in Dragon Quest VI.
Characteristics
Crested loons are little bird, hen-like, monsters with colorful plumage and demonic charcteristics. The color of their plumage is blue and yellow, and mostly of the yellow ones are situated in the feathered tail. The demonic feature of their body is the head which only have one big red eye and a thick purple helm-like protuberance at the top of it. They can defend in battle by flipping their hardened tail feathers to face their foe.
