Faerie foil
The faerie foil is a recurring sword in the Dragon Quest series. This enchanted rapier can cast Buff on an ally if used as a tool in battle.

Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly BrideEdit
The faerie foil has an attack bonus of +85. Unlike most other swords, it can only be wielded by female party members. It can be equipped by Bianca, Nera, Deborah, Madchen, Chimaera, Grudgerigar, Pocus poppet and Snowbird It can be found in the Neverglade. It can also be purchased at the Spring Treasures n' Trapdoors board item shop for 7,700 gold.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten PastEdit
The faerie foil has an attack bonus of +58 and a style bonus of +30. It can be equipped by the Hero, Sir Mervyn, and Aishe. It can first be purchased at the Mountain Tower in the past for 8,500 gold and sold for 4,250 gold.
Dragon Quest XEdit
The faerie foil was added to the game in version 6.2, and increases attack by +255, magical might by +22, charm by +26, and has a weight of 16. It can be equipped by either sex, increases all elemental damage by +3%, and has a 5% chance of automatically casting Buff when the wielder takes any action.
Dragon Quest TreasuresEdit
A scale model of the faerie foil appears as Treasure No. 111, with a base value of 1,300,000.
