The Holy Lance is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest franchise. It is often a mid-level spear.

Dragon Quest III

The Holy lance has an attack bonus of +35. It can only be equipped by Clerics and Sages. It is sold at Ashalam and Isis.

Dragon Quest IV

The Holy lance has an attack bonus of +33. It takes the place of the Morning star in the remakes. It can be bought for 1,250 gold and sold for 937 gold. Kiryl and Meena can equip it.

Dragon Quest VII

The Holy lance has an attack bonus of +36 and an appearance bonus of +17. It can be equipped by the hero, Maribel, and Aira. They can be bought for 3,300 gold and sold for 1,650 gold.

Dragon Quest VIII

The Holy lance has an attack bonus of +39. It can only be equipped by the Hero. They can be bought for 2,700 gold in Pickham and sold for 1,350 gold. Holy lances can also be made by the alchemy recipe of Long spear + Gold rosary.

A Trigertaur will drop Holy lances on rare occasions. Warriors, Priests, and Paladins can equip them.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker

Holy lances can be bought at the Celeste Island item shop for 2,850 gold and sold for 1,425 gold. They have an attack bonus of +34. Its in game description is "A holy lance effective against the undead."
