The Mandrake Marauder is a monster that appears in Dragon Quest V and Dragon Quest IX. In Japanese, what we call the "Mandrake Marauder" in English have two seperate names in V and IX, so the name "Mandrake Marauder" could therefore be said to describe two entirely different monsters. The one in V, known in Japan as りゅうせんし ryū-senshi also appears in Heroes 2 and Joker 2. The one in IX, known as りゅう兵士 ryū-heishi, has so far only appeared in Dragon Quest IX.
