Fizzle-retardant suit
The fizzle-retardant suit is a recurring robe in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest IX. As its name states, it protects the wearer against having the spells sealed away. It is part of the iconic attire of male Mages.

The recipe book Making the Magic Happen contains the recipe for the Fizzle-retardant suit. It is found in a treasure chest in Gallopolis locked behind a door that requires the magic key.
