The Live lava is a recurring monster from the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VII.

It is a viscous elemental composed of molten lava.

Characteristics[edit]

Creepy creatures that slip and slide their way up from cracks between solid lava, to slap and smack at enemies with fiery freshly formed limbs, before blasting at big groups with the Boom spell. Their molten bodies offer them an immunity to fire damage and explosive spells.
