The Gourdzilla is a monster that appears exclusively in Dragon Quest VII.
It is a powerful and evil plant monster with a bizarre colour scheme.
Characteristics[edit]
Gourdzillas are large, looming carnivorous Plants with a look similar to the real world infamous Rafflesia arnoldii flower of southeast Asia. Its body has a blue blooming bulb-like flower with a long blue tongue and sharp serrated teeth, supported by a treacherous tangle of leafy, bluish-green vines. It is a master of debilitating techniques, having the ability to exhale venomous vapours or paralytic mist from its mouth and put parties of adventurers to sleep with Kasnooze before using its two longer, thorn-covered vines to lash at enemies. These unusual plants are completely immune to the cold, but will fall quickly to spells of any other element. When the Gourdzilla reappeared in the Nintendo 3DS version of VII, it gained a completely different colour scheme. Its main body was now black with yellow bulbs all over and yellow lips with a purple tongue and its vines were a very dark shade of teal.
