The Puppet master is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VIII. It is a variant of the puppeteer wearing a brown garb and stronger than the puppet player.

Characteristics[edit]

Puppet masters are as clothed as their other puppet-wielding brethren, wearing garments that are mostly brown with some purple. Like puppeteers, they use a lump mage puppet on their right arms but then have a chimaera on their left. They also carry around a puppet of a dracky and a golem that they use in storytelling. The puppet masters will use their lump mage puppets to envelop their enemies in illusions, then use their signature chimaera puppets to breathe flames on them.
