A wyrm composed of weeds, the Dragonthorn is a story-related monster debuting in Dragon Quest VIII. In it, they are the product of Dhoulmagus' curse set upon the kingdom ofTrodain.

Despite being composed of plant matter, the species does not belong to the Nature family.
