Dragon Quest III
The great helm has a defense bonus of +45. The Hero and Warriors can equip them. They can be sold for 26,250 gold and bought for 35,000 gold. In this game, it is referred to as "Great Helmet".
Dragon Quest V
The great helm has a defence bonus of +45. It can be bought for 20,000 gold in Precaria. The Hero, his son, Sancho, and Tuppence can equip it.
Dragon Quest VI
The great helm has a defense bonus of +50 and a style bonus of +30, but it can be upgraded to have a style bonus of +47. The Hero, Carver, Amos, Terry, Lizzie, and Goowain can equip it. It can be bought in Greedmore Valley for 25,000 gold and sold for 18,750 gold or 22,500 gold once it has be upgraded.
Dragon Quest VII
The great helm has a defense bonus of +45 and a style bonus of +30. The Hero and Aishe can equip it. It can be bought for 45,000 gold and sold for 22,500 gold.
Dragon Quest VIII
The great helm has a defence bonus of +45. It can be worn by the Hero and Yangus.It can be bought for 16,000 gold in Tryan Gully and sold for 8,000 gold.
Dragon Quest IX
Great helms have a defense bonus of +27, a strength bonus of +36, and a one star rarity. Warriors, Gladiators, and Paladins can equip them.
