The Royal reptile is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first introduced in Dragon Quest X. They are dragons that claim domain over entire regions of territory, claiming sovereignty over all serpents who dwell therein. Incredibly, they command through sound judgement instead of through brute force. This won't stop them from attempting to incinerate any adventurer who stumbles into their land, however.
Characteristics
Royal reptiles are bipedal dragons with very muscular bodies that wield green orbs in their left hands known as the "eye of the dragon". They have white scales with coral-colored undersides, a large pair of wings on their backs with coral membrane, and a set of three long tails, each ending with a tuft of pale yellow hair. The dragons have a huge pair of black horns on their heads, pale yellow eyes with vertical pupils, and purple tongues coming out of their fang-lined maws. They can breathe out flames of intense heat and are able to use the eye of the dragon they hold in order to make themselves invulnerable to enemy attacks.
