Don Calico needs the Celestial skein, found in the Dragon's Horn towers, to create the Flowing dress along with the Subtle Shuttle. The flowing dress can be worn by all three characters. In the original Famicom and NES versions of the game, it is possible to acquire multiple flowing dresses with a glitch, but the ability to do so was removed starting with the Super Famicom version.

Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen[edit]

Although the Celestial skein does not appear in the game, Torneko Taloon will mention that the Flowing dress is spun on a holy loom with threads of rain and dew if he appraises the robe.
