Sleep Attack
Sleep Attack is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series. It launches a melee attack that may knock the target Sleep.

Monsters first gained the ability to put characters to sleep with normal attacks in Dragon Quest II, eventually becoming its own skill that can be used by monster companions in V. The effect can be duplicated with weapons like the Dream blade.

Sleep Attack can be used by Man o' wars, Merluscs, Mummies, and Malroth* himself.
Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of SalvationEdit
Sleep Attack can be used exclusively by the Morphean mushroom.
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the ChosenEdit
Sleep Attack can be used by Bantamweights, Bodkin bowyers, Fat bats, Vampire battlers, and Master Kung.
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly BrideEdit
Sleep Attack is learned by the Funghoul at level 5. It does not cost MP to use.

On the enemy side, it can be used by Drooling ghouls, Hula ghouls, Morphean molluscs, and Snake ch-arm-ers.
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of RevelationEdit
Sleep Attack returns to being an enemy-only skill that can be used by Hell gladiators and Pot shots.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten PastEdit
Sleep Attack can be used by Decayurions, Lesionnaires, Mousenaps, and Bagley.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed KingEdit
Sleep Attack can be used by Bodkin bowyers, Dark skeletons, Dead Bowdy, Hell gladiators, Morphean mushrooms, Mummies, and Terror tabbies.
The Infamous Monsters who can use it are Archer, Mushy, and Skeledoid.
Dragon Quest MonstersEdit
Called NapAttack in this game, it requires the monster to reach level 7 with 49 max HP, 42 ATK and 42 INT. It is naturally learned by the ArmyAnt, Gulpple, Lipsy, SpotKing, Toadstool and Tonguella.
Dragon Quest Monsters 2Edit
NapAttack now requires 76 Intelligence to learn. It is naturally learned by the Gamanian. It is no longer naturally learned by the Lipsy.

Sleep Attack costs 4 MP and attempts to knock a monster out for 2~5 turns. It is learned through the Assassin, Charmer, Cutpurse, Breath Taker, Freeze, Graveheart, Hive Mind, Irritant, Malroth, Multidisciplinarian, Nature Child, Nuisance, Sleep Counsellor, Sweet-Talker, and Tongue Twister talents.

Dragon Quest TactEdit
Sleep Attack is known naturally by Bobonga, Carnivine, Fandangow, Gargoyle, Mummy, and Mummy boy at level 1 and costs 12 MP to use. It inflicts 130% potency physical damage to a single enemy and has a chance to put them to sleep. It can also be taught to any unit by using an ability scroll.
