The Mandrake Marauder is a monster that appears in Dragon Quest V and Dragon Quest IX. In Japanese, what we call the "Mandrake Marauder" in English have two seperate names in V and IX, so the name "Mandrake Marauder" could therefore be said to describe two entirely different monsters.

The one in V, known in Japan as りゅうせんし ryū-senshi, also appears in Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 and Dragon Quest Heroes II. The one in IX, known as りゅう兵士 ryū-heishi, has so far only appeared in Dragon Quest IX.
