The ring of immunity, also known as the contra band, is a recurring accessory in the Dragon Quest series. It features a design of a venomous snake and is designed to protect the wearer against poison.

Dragon Quest VIII

The ring of immunity provides a defence boost of +10. It is created by combining a gold ring and a poison needle in the Alchemy Pot. It can be sold for 750 gold. It can also be used to form a Catholicon ring by combining it with a full moon ring and a ring of truth.

Dragon Quest X

The ring of immunity has a defence bonus of +2, a style bonus of +3, and increases resistance against poison by 50%. By equipping two rings, the wearer can become completely resistant to poison. With accessory synthesis, the defence and poison resistance can be increased.

Flavor text A serpentine spiral that provides some protection against poisonous attacks.

The recipe book Little Lifesavers contains the recipe for the ring of immunity. It can be found in a treasure chest in Heliodor Castle in the Queen's Bedchamber during the second act. If two rings of immunity +3 are equipped at once, it is possible to become completely resistant to being poisoned.

Dragon Quest Swords

The ring of immunity can be obtained as a lucky bag item. It makes the wearer resistant to poison attacks.

Dragon Quest Builders

Rings of immunity can be created using the recipe of 2 gold + 3 antidotal herbs + pure water.

Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below

The ring of immunity increases resistance against poison by 40%. It can be made using the Alchemy Pot and can be sold for 300 gold. Poison resistance can be increased to 100% by wearing multiple rings.

The ring of immunity reduces damage taken from poison by 40%, reaching to a total of 80% once it is fully upgraded. It will also give a +16 bonus to the wearer's max HP when it has been upgraded. The ring can be dropped by Bodkin fletchers and Corpse corporals.
