The Spiked club is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest X. It is a rarefied version of the Brownie wielding a club with sharp spikes.
Characteristics[edit]
Spiked clubs are little Humanoid monsters with blue skin. They wear a green furred mask that cover their little faces, all we know about it is that they have a little pair of black eyes on it. They all also wield a wooden spiked club, with spikes on the top of it that gives the monster their name; more dangerous than the Hammer that Hammerhoods and Brownies use to attack.
Appearances[edit]
Dragon Quest X[edit]
Spiked clubs appear rarefied monster versions of brownies starting in Version 1.1 of the game. Their level is a bit high, so the player must avoid them at every cost if they are still weak in comparison with them. They are capable of attacking with Spinning Beatdown, can land desperate attacks, and are capable of raising their Tension by three to four stages at once with Muster Extra Strength.
Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca's Marvelous Mysterious Key[edit]
Spiked club appears as a D-rank monster of the Beast family.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3[edit]
In this game, spiked clubs are A-rank monsters of the Beast family and are obtained by synthesizing a Hybird with either Lleviathan or a Liquid metal slime. They are also needed to synthesize a Dark brownie.
Dragon Quest Rivals[edit]
Spiked club appeared in the 5th card pack, "Heroic Tales of Bravery" as a super rare card exclusive for Demon Swordsman leaders. When summoned, it would boost the leader's Tension by two stages.
Dragon Quest Tact[edit]
Spiked club appears as a C-rank monster of the Beast family during the second part of the limited Mindini's Invincible in the World of Dreams!? event. It can be scouted from the Spiked Club stage of Expedition! World of Illusions at any difficulty and can participate in the Sintaur's Battle Road as a party member.
