The Azure dragon fan is a fan that appears exclusively in Dragon Quest IX and is the upgraded version of the Cobra fan. It features the design of a blue dragon.

Etymology[edit]
The fan is named after and features the Azure Dragon, one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese constellations. In Chinese, it is known as Qinglong and in Japanese, it is known as Seiryu. The Azure Dragon represents the east and the season of spring.
