The Blighted bloater is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VII.

Characteristics

Beastly bloated amphibians with the ability to poison whole parties of adventurers in a single foul belch and stun a single member of a party with putrid licks of their slimy tongues. They are able to use their croaks to summon more of their kind in battle.
