The fur poncho is a recurring piece of clothing in the Dragon Quest series. It is a thick fur garment that protects the wearer against fire & ice attacks.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit]
The Fur poncho has a Defence bonus of +29 and reduces damage taken from fire and ice breath attacks by 20. Only Yangus can wear it. It can be made in the Alchemy Pot or one can be found in a dresser in Empycchu. It can be sold for 1100 gold coins.
