The saw blade is a recurring sword in the Dragon Quest series. It is a mid-ranking weapon with no special effects.

Dragon Quest V[edit]
The saw blade has an attack bonus of +27, and can be purchased in the Zoomingale and Helmunaptra weapon shops for 1,200.
Dragon Quest VI[edit]
The saw blade can be equipped by Carver, Terry, and Lizzie. It increases their attack by +54 but cuts their style for -2, and is available in the Castle Swanstone, Mt. Snowhere, and Turnscote weapon shops for 9,800.
Dragon Quest VII[edit]
The saw blade has an attack bonus of +54, but reduces style by 2. It can be equipped by the Hero, Kiefer, and Aishe. It can be purchased for 8,800 gold at Nottagen and Wetlock in the present and sold for 4,400 gold. Saw blades can also be won as prizes from the Lucky Panel at the Casino near Pilgrim's Rest inn, making them one of the most powerful weapons the party can acquire as early as the events at Alltrades Abbey.
