Kirk Buzzer is a recurring thief in the series, whose biggest claim to infamy is being the inventor of the thief's key.

Appearances[edit]

Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation[edit]

Kirk is imprisoned in the basement jail of Castle Aliahan, lamenting that he was beaten to a pulp by the old man who lives at the zenith of the Dreamer's Tower when he tried to rob him. He informs the Hero of he prized creation, the thief's key, and notes that the old man took it off of him before handing him over the the authorities.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake[edit]

Kirk's role has not changed in the HD remake, though his dialogue will alter as the game progresses and he will even inform the player of the existence of the wish-granting Xenlon. How a two-bit crook knows of the deity of all dragons is left to the player's imagination.

Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen[edit]

Kirk is the boss of Cove's Cove, having fled there as his hideout after stealing a bronze rosary from a nun in Femiscyra and framing the Chosen Ones. As such, the Hero and the party must get it back to clear their name.

Trivia[edit]

  • In the remakes of IV, a diary can be found on a shelf in his hideout where he mentions his hope of being likened to Robbin' Hood (the name of Robbin' 'Ood as localized circa 2008).
