Permasnow is a recurring item in the Dragon Quest series. It is mysterious snow that never seems to melt and is used as a crafting material.

Permasnow is used as a material for crafting some weapons, armour, and furniture or in Alchemy to add resistance against Sultry Dance to pieces of footwear. It can be purchased from a material shop for 170 gold, picked up from sparkly spots, or dropped by certain monsters such as Tundragsters.

Permasnow can be picked up from sparkly spots at Sniflheim, the Sniflheim Region, the Snærfelt, and the Hekswood, or dropped by Dragon slimes and their vicious counterparts. A handful of permasnow can be found in a pot at Sniflheim. It can be sold for 40 gold.
