Ice crystal is a recurring item in the Dragon Quest series. It is a snowflake-shaped crystal infused with cryogenic powers that is used as a crafting material.

Ice crystals can be collected at Snowberia and the Snowberian Coast, found randomly in the fountain at a fully upgraded Quester's Rest, or dropped by Freezing fogs, Firn fiends, Shivery shrubberies, Brrearthenwarriors, and Uncommon colds. It can be sold for 45 gold coins.

Dragon Quest X[edit]
Ice crystal is used as a material for crafting weapons and furniture or in Alchemy to increase resistance against Sultry Dance to footwear. It can be picked up from sparkly spots, purchased from a material shop for 240 gold coins each, or dropped by various monsters including Chillanodons, Freezing fogs, Powie yowies, and Slimecicles.

Ice crystal can be picked up from sparkly spots in Sniflheim, the Sniflheim - Whale Way Station, and the Path to Trial Isle or dropped by Chillanodons, Bongo fandangos, Dragon slimes, Slimecicles, Blizzybodies, Boreal serpents, and Snowbirds. It can be sold for 127 gold.
Ice crystal is used in the following recipes for the Fun-Size Forge:
- Recipe: Fenrir fang = Mythril ore x2 + Ice crystal x2 + Twisted talons + Savvy sapphire
- Recipe: Ice claws = Silver ore x2 + Ice crystal x2 + Avabranche x2 + Savvy sapphire

Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors[edit]
Ice crystals are used as a tempering material for ice-elemental swords. It can be dropped by Minidemons and the Fishy Monster in the Secace Seacove or received as a Rank S reward from the Galantyne Glades, Mirror World, or Secace Seacove, a Rank B reward from the Tower of Mirrors.
Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below[edit]
Ice crystals can be dropped by Drackmages and Hunter mechs or received from King Flaminio in exchange for three Mini medals each on the Stonecloud. It can also be received as a reward for completing Showdown: Automatrons with gold clear time from the second time onward or Grudge Match: Automatrons with silver clear time. It can be used in the quick recipes for the Slime earrings and the Tough guy tattoo in the Alchemy Pot or sold for 32 gold. Two ice crystals are required to complete Quest #43: I Scream for Ice Cream!.

Dragon Quest Heroes II: Twin Kings and the Prophecy's End[edit]
Ice crystals are used as a material to improve various accessories or sold for 32 gold coins each. It can be dropped by Freezing fogs, Frostburns, and Ice sculptures or picked up from sparkly spots at the Frosty Foothills.
