Galantyne Glades

Galantyne Glades is a location in Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors.

The player first visits it when Anlace petitions the Hero to help him cross the Glades to seek out his mother's secret hideaway. After traversing the Glades' many dangers, including monsters, thick underbrush, and winding paths, they encounter Briquet, who proceeds to attack claiming they are trampling his garden. Fortunately, they are able to defeat him.

They then reach Queen Curtana's hideaway, only to be forced to hide themselves as she exits and walks off. However, before she does they see here wearing a mysterious mask, which Anlace explains she has recently taken a shine to and has repeatedly refused to remove. Shortly after, Fleurette, one of the Queen's servants, emerges from the cabin after her and the three engage in conversation. Fleurette says she seems to recognize the mask from a tableau she saw carved in the side of the mountain when she was a little girl, and offers to take the Hero there, setting up the next stage of the game.

Later on, when Xiphos the Deathbringer has manipulated the Hero into destroying the Mask, his only weakness, and raised the Deathbringer's Citadel across the Red Sea, the party reaches it via Galantyne Glades, large portions of which are now burning.
