Appearances[edit]

Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation (remakes only)[edit]

The Tough guy tattoo has an Attack bonus of +8, temporarily changes the wearer's Personality type to Thug, and can be equipped by any vocation. One can be found in Portoga's treasure chamber, which requires the Thief's Key to unlock and is behind some electrified floor tiles. It can also be dropped by Great keepers, as well as Pandora's boxes in the Game Boy Color version.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit]

The tough guy tattoo has an Attack boost of +8 and can be equipped by all characters. It can be purchased in the Argonian Bazaar for 2,400 gold coins and sold for 1,200 gold coins. One can be found in a treasure chest outside of the Seaview Church, which requires the Thief's key to unlock. They can also be dropped by Anchormen, Belials, Hoodlums, and Trolls.

Tough guy tattoos can also be used in a few recipes in the Alchemy Pot:
