Effect | Strikes twice |
The falcon knife earrings is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest franchise. Like its larger variant, the falcon knife earrings attack twice per turn. However they can only be wielded by female characters in most installments and possess a lower attack bonus. To compensate for this, both strikes can inflict critical hits, be amplified by Oomph and Focus Strength, and do not suffer the percentage reduction of the sword version.
Though classified as Knives, the weapons were a pair of actual earrings before VIII, in which all attack animations per weapon type were standardized and the piercings were changed to be a pair of Knives that just so happened to look like earrings.
