The Deadly nightblade is a recurring Knife in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest IX. Its name is likely a pun on deadly nightshade, a poisonous plant.

Dragon Quest X[edit]
The deadly nightblade has an Attack bonus of +17, a Style bonus of +3, and increases the wielder's weight by 2. It can be equipped by Mages, Minstrels, Thieves, Dancers, Gadabouts, Demon Swordsmen, and Pirates. It can be crafted with weaponsmithing.
- In the Offline version of the game, it can only be equipped by the Hero as a Mage, Thief, Minstrel, Dancer, or Gadabout, and Duston.
- Recipe: Iron ore x3 + Copper ore x2
Dragon Quest Tact[edit]
The Deadly nightblade is a D-rank dagger that can be acquired as a reward for completing the Daggers: Intermediate level. It has a WIS and max MP bonus of +3 and two slots for Alchemy Effects.
