The Handsome crab is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation.
It is a blue, seafaring variant of the Crabid.
Characteristics[edit]
Handsome crabs are monstrous crustaceans with a bright blue exoskeleton, bulging eyes, and cyan or grey-colored undersides. They are constantly drooling from their maws, which are lined with razor-sharp fangs. They are capable of landing Critical Hits and their shells offer them excellent protection against the weapons of adventurers, but they are still vulnerable to attack magic.

Description | Deft defenders and cool critical critters, these colossal crabs are the scourge of the seas. Flash-fry them with a little fire. Every full moon, they assemble under the ocean and quiety clack their claws to mark the start of their monthly meeting. |

Etymology[edit]
The name is a play on words of a handsome cab, a two-wheeled horse-drawn carriage.
