The frostburn is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest II. It is the ghost of a human lost to intense grief, composed of cold flames with control over ice.
Characteristics[edit]
Introduced in Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line, it is a blue, icy variant of the dancing flame. Like the dancing flames' power over fire, the frostburns' power over ice is great. Additionally, and unfortunately, they are normally adept at instant-death magic, making them a considerable threat when encountered as a group.
