The Gremlin is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line.

Characteristics

Gremlins are diminutive members of the Demon family with pink or purple skin, a lizard's tail, a small pair of wings on their backs, and a tiny pair of blue horns on their heads. They are mischievous creatures who always float with their tongues constantly sticking out of their mouths, capable of casting several different spells and breathing fire at their opponents.

After the Gremlins' debut in Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line, their only mainline appearance has been in Dragon Quest X; most of their appearances have been in spin-offs such as the Dragon Quest Monsters series.

Gremlin appears as a B-rank monster of the Demon family as part of the limited Dragon Quest II event and it stars in its own Battle Road. The gremlin will join the party in Chapter 3, Episode 4: Almost Out! of the event quests and it can be fully awakened by journeying through the Passage to Rendarak dungeon, where it appears as an enemy on the 5th, 10th, and 15th floors.
