Nova is a character from The Adventure of Dai. He is the Northern Hero and uses Aura to fight.
Characteristics[edit]
Nova is a young boy from Ringaia who is called the Northern Hero in contrast with the hero from the southern lands.
Nova has spiky light blue hair with darker roots. He wears black, white and grey light armor, with blue details.
The Adventure of Dai[edit]
Nova is first introduced as an over-confident and arrogant boy, who thinks he can take care of the Royal Guard without the help of the Disciples of Avan. Nova manages to slash Pawn Hym's chest and hit him directly with his Northen Grand Blade skill, but Hym's resilience shocks him.
After the shock of Hym's strength, Dai and Popp try to convince Nova to cooperate with them, but he refuses and prepares to strike Hym again, however Queen Albinass interrupts the combat by attacking Nova with Needle Thousand, making him unable to fight for a while. He later tries to temporarily freeze the Royal Guard with Kacrackle, but Sigma's Mirror of Shahal returns the spell to the heroes and freezes them instead. Nova realizes he is not a god hero and cries. Hym takes the frozen Nova and launches him into the air, and jumps in order to shatter and kill the young warrior, however his cruelty is stopped by Hyunckel, who impales Hym's head with the Dark Armour Spear and saves Nova. Nova rests for some time while the the Disciples of Avan fight against the Royal Guard. During Hym and Dai's fight, Nova throws an aura-infused spear to Hym to save Dai. Soon after, he loses conciousness until the battle is over. After the battle, Maam scolds him for being too prideful.
After Dai's defeat in Vearn Palace, Nova helps the little hero train at Princess Leona's request. Thanks to the Book of Avan and Nova, Dai learns how to use the two types of Avan Strash: the Arrow Type -which allows him to attack at a distance with aura-, and the Break Type -which cuts the enemy directly with aura-. After talking with Nova, Dai realizes he can use the two types of Avan Strash to unleash a more powerful variant.
