Gryphus (ホークル, Hōkuru) is an infamous monster available in Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King.
He can form the team Avian Attackers along with any two monsters of the Bird family.

Location[edit]
The Gryphon General (魔空の王者ホークル, Makū no Ōja Hōkuru can be found in the Western Argonia region on a hill close to the Peddler's Tent that can only be reached by air.
He will only appear during the day after beating the game once.
