Gemon is a character and villain first introduced in Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. His appearance is similar to a Dark gryphon, but he is much, much larger, has three straight horns protruding from his head. Gemon is Rhapthorne's right hand man and a boss that appears in the World of Darkness. Gemon threatened to murder Empyrea's unborn child if she did not co-operate with him, forcing her to attack the village of Dark Empycchu. He starts the battle accompanied by a Dark condor and a Dark turkey and will summon more of the feathered fiends if they are defeated before him.
