The Bird of terrordise is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest VII, it is a fiery red variant of the Prism peacock.
Characteristics[edit]
Like their Prism peacock birdy brethren, birds of terrordise sport powerfully built humanoid bodies and a pair of golden curved horns atop their heads, along with their indicated avian qualities, but are of a raging red-hot colouring as opposed to the prism peacocks' motley plumage. The infernal avians are among the most powerful monsters around in each of their appearances, boasting high stats and the most lethal of the fire breath attacks. The birds can also send adventurers into a state of utter chaos with Fuddle spells. Their scarlet plumage grants them a high amount of protection against fire spells and techniques. They typically make their habitats in volcanic regions, such as the Hellfire Hollow of Orgodemir's Cathedral of Blight and high-level fire grottoes in IX.
