Spiny mines are anthropomorphic versions of flails that float on their own. They also resemble naval mines. Their bodies consist of a round iron ball covered in sharp spikes with a one-eyed face and a mouth with sharp fangs, as well as a long chain with a handle that dangles underneath them. Spiny mines attack by swinging their bodies at enemies and protruding the spikes on their bodies. They are prone to self-destructing without warning, as well.

The Spiny Mine (formerly Pummeler) is a monster from the game Dragon Quest VII. It can be found in the Dungeon of Descent and the Likeness of the Great Evil.

Characteristics
