The Green glow is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest X. It is an elemental monster composed of vivid verdant flames.
Characteristics
Green glow is a variant of the dancing flame whose body is made up of acidic green flames. It has an identical appearance to a Spirit flame. Unlike the other flame elementals, it specializes in melting down the defences of enemies with its acidic breath, along with bolstering the defence of its allies with Kabuff. In different spinoff games, the green glow is actually born from the combination of a dancing flame with a frostburn. In Tact, the green glow also gained the ability to spew out burning breath to paralyse its enemies.
Appearances
Dragon Quest X
Green glow appears as a boss alongside four other flames of different colors. It has the lowest attack of its fellow flames, but boasts the highest defence. It begins the battle by casting Kabuff on its flames and can also perform a spinning attack and use Acid Breath. The green glow will become enraged if one of the other flames is defeated before it.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3
Green glow appears as a C-rank monster of the Material family. It can be synthesized from a combination of a Dancing flame and a Frostburn. If four of them are synthesized together, they can create a Gasmon.
Dragon Quest Tact
Green glow appears as a B-rank monster of the Inorganic family as part of the limited Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker event. It can be synthesized in the Synthesis Workshop by combining a Dancing Flame Might and a Frostburn Might together. The green glow can participate in the Wulfspade's Battle Road as a party member.
